Peter Piper
Peter PIPER m 1749 Elizabeth BOVENHIZER Peter PIPER was the son of Jacob and Christiana. Jacob b abt 1690 probably in Mausweiler/Hausweiler in the Rhineland Palatinate, was the son of Johann Peter PFEIFFER, aged 57, a Miller and a Lutheran, who arrived in London in the 3rd Party of Palatines on 2 June 1709 with his wife and sons (Jacob) aged 19 and (John) 5 yrs. [London Lists, HJ p91]
Peter PIPER of Killikeen married Elizabeth BOVENHIZER on 2 May 1749 at Rathkeale,
County Limerick, Ireland. Elizabeth was most likely born in the late 1720s on
the Southwell Estate around Rathkeale.
The Rathkeale registers pre-1742 are extant which means there is no record of
the birth of Elizabeth BOVENHIZER but there is no doubt that she was a daughter
of one of the sons of John/Johann/Hans Adam. Her father was most likely Peter
BOVENHIZER who was a Palatine living on the Southwell Estate, Co Limerick on
29 Sep 1720 and a freeholder at Killiheen, Co Limerick in Apr 1755 [Groves Papers
HJ p 21] Wife of Peter was Elisabetha who was bur 28 Dec 1762 [Rathkeale Churchbook
