David Purves c1715

Marriage: 15 April 1707 Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian. It is difficult to read, but is "William Purviss, taylor indweller , to Agnes Skeith sorbitrix (??) to John Kufsell of Braidshaw, both in s.e. parish. Married 15 April 1707"

Braidshaw appears to be in the Parish of West Calder, 20 odd miles south west of Edinburgh. I assume that William Purviss was a tailor dwelling in the city of Edinburgh. And that he married Agnes Skeith (or South) who was a "sorbitrex" to John Kufsell. A "sorbitor/sorbitrex" appears to be a servitor or servant.
