Jasper appears from nowhere, probably to cover his past, and runs a privareer out of Kinsale during the Restoration. The family is extensively pedigreed, and hence difficult to find on genealogy sites as they have no need for them.
I have not been able to find a male Grant that is descended from Jasper.
