Chart AE - John's (b1770) son James (b1816) and his
Descendants

Believed to be John & James Grant taken circa 1850
James was living in Towra when the three children
by his first wife were born. The Shinrone records show the death of Anne Grant
of Rossamine, Towra on 27/6/1847. So it looks as if she died during the famine.
He must then have moved to Timoney, Corbally, and remarried twice. Records show
James, a widower, son of John of Timoney, marrying Ellen Hutchinson in 1850
and Sarah Drough in 1859.
No further record exists of any descendants. There is no record
of any children by his second or third marriages. So the family name could only
possibly live on if his son John (B1842) had any descendants
