Elizabeth Evans 1851

A child who grew up under difficult circumstances, with a number of name changes.

She was probably born Elizabeth Jones the illegitimate daughter of a union between Ellen Edwards and a Mr Jones. The birth could have been registered as either Jones or Evans. She appears to have been born in Mar or Apr 1851

Births Mar 1851 Evans Elizabeth Anglesea 27 381 is the only one if it was Evans, there are many more Jones options. The certificate would give mother and possibly father, but at this stage I do not really think it would help to have the information

She appears in the 1851 census as living with her mother and grandmother, 1 month old

And by the 1861 census is now down as Elizabeth Evans following her mother's marriage to John Evans in August 1860,

1871 census and she is still living in the parental house

1881 census still with the parents

A possibility would be Marriages Jun 1883
Jones Elizabeth Anglesey to LEWIS Griffith Anglesey 11b 825

1891 census - this could be her, but I am doubtful

John Evans 1825
